So I have always loved skiing and I have always loved clothes especially “fancy” clothes — hence for me “luxury” ski wear is the perfect combination of the two. There are so many fantastic ski outfits that come out each season that I never knew about living in NYC. I was familiar with the traditional lines like Patagonia, Marmot, and The North Face – but I had no idea there is a whole other world of ski wear out there that is pretty amazing and functional. On top of the fantastic ski brands such as Bogner, Arcteryx, and Kjus there is another layer of ski wear that is out of this world….
Fendi came out with a ski line this year that is amazing!!! It will probably never be in my wardrobe because of expense and the fact that Clay would not really approve – but it is so fabulous! I hope to see someone on the slopes wearing it in Jackson.
The line was inspired by furry creatures and has morphed into must have fashion details. The orchid pattern is amazingly beautiful, even just one item from this collection will make a statement on the slopes.
My favorite item is this super cool jacket that goes with this fab pant. If this jacket isn’t your style – This one is pretty fab too and so is this one.
I’m obsessed with this adorable hat that looks super warm and it is soo fun but it is $1994!!! Oh and don’t forget to pick up your gloves
If you wanted a look that was a little more subdued but still extremely luxurious. This one is great.

So, since I will not be wearing the fabulous Fendi Collection – this is what I will be wearing. When I ski, I love a colored pant from Marmot because it makes me visible and it’s a good item to “wheel” your ski wardrobe around. The Marmot “spire” pant fits very well and I love that it has removable suspenders. With a great pant – you can add a basic jacket that can be worn sking and then apres. Ski pants tend to be slightly less expensive than jackets – so it can be a nice item to add to your wardrobe each season to change your look without breaking the bank.
With my bright pants – I pair either a bright jacket like this one or this one or I add a black jacket like this one. This way I have multiple looks without spending a fortune.
I do spend a bit of money on gloves because my hands get very cold. I find the best to be these – they are like pillows for your hands.
Oh and don’t forget your helmet!
Check out “the shop” to see some more great items and some great apres ski sweaters. Sneak peak – I am loving this one and this one!
