I can’t believe it has been a month since our Little Wells arrived into the world and I wanted to share a few photos of our little boy. The past month has flown by. The day Wells arrived I was terrified, I had no idea what to expect and no clue how much our lives would change – for the better. Each day I feel stronger and more capable as a mom and each day I learn something new about him and life. There are so many things that no one tells you prior to giving birth – I think I could have spent much more time reading about the days after the baby arrives as opposed to the days of pregnancy.
I want to share so many things with the new mom who is struggling with the first days at home with a newborn – but every baby is different and there is no manual for motherhood. My main words of advice is take it easy on yourself and do not read everything on the internet about each symptom your baby exhibits – I was making myself and my family crazy. Slowly we have started to get into a routine and I finally feel I can leave the house for more than 15 minutes. Although I still feel a bit manic about feeding – (I never imagined how hard feeding could be – no one tells you this prior to giving birth!!)
The other thing that I can’t believe is that I have not shopped for myself in over a month… But – never fear – I traded shopping for myself this past month for shopping for Wells. I have also traded my love of pink for a love of blue. Here are some of my favorite outfits for Wells thus far – they are nothing novel – just classic and cozy.
I love love the RL onesies (I may be a bit biased) – they fit Wells perfectly as he is on the smaller side. They are also a very nice weight for the temperature in Jackson – not too thick not too thin. These are my faves this one this one and this one. We also purchased a couple of cotton cardigans for Wells to keep him warm and they have been lifesavers for us. They are easy to get on and easy to take off. This is my fave of the moment.
For bedtime – Wells loves his Kissy Kissy night gowns. They are amazing for keeping him comfy at night and easy access for diaper changing in the middle of the night. This one is the best but I also love this all white version – a baby in all white is always beatiful and precious.
See you soon!
